Hi Everyone,

I'm one of the guys behind sellaband. When I presented my idea to Johan and Dagmar SellaBand was born. Seeing this community grow by the day with amazing artists and passionate Believers is a dream coming true. Litteraly!

Thank you to the artists who have taken the courage to put yourselves out there. Everyday I'm discovering more and more awesome artists. Some of them would maybe never be signed to a major label, because their music is just too new or out of the ordinairy. The good news is that here on SellaBand you can be funky as you want to be and still find fans who believe in you!

Thank you, to the Believers, for putting your money where your mouth is. Also for telling all your friends about SellaBand. Things are really starting to pick up now. We are getting the nicest reactions from Believers all over the world. It gives us energy to get your wishes and feedback translated into our website as soon as we can! Keep 'em coming. Your wish is... well almost our command ;-)

A revolution has started here on SellaBand.

Let's enjoy the ride!

Nemesea says goodbye

Maybe some off you saw this coming or maybe some of you thought we were here to stay forever on the charts...

Anyway, we made the decision to say goodbye to Sellaband based on things that happened here over time,
but we didn't want to leave without letting our believers and all the people that supported us here on Sellaband know about it.
It was a wild ride here on Sellaband with some major ups and downs.
But when the downs take over, then it's time again for something else!

A big thank you! goes out to all our believers (big and small) who invested in us and who made "In Control" a reality! (we still remember those final few days until 50K)
We should be proud of this achievement and we as band will never forget this! Sounds like a cliché but it's the truth. Words cannot express how we feel about that.
Nemesea was the first 50K band here on Sellaband and YOU made that happen!
We also would like to thank everyone who didn't get the chance to buy some parts but still kept promoting us anyway and spreading the word. THANK YOU!
Again....words cannot express how we feel about it.

Leaving Sellaband isn't the end of Nemesea. (far from it) We just want to take a different direction. Always on the lookout for something new.
You get the general idea. ;-) And you guys and girls are the reason we keep on going.

If you still want to keep in touch and want to know what we're up to, (we really do) just sign up for our newsletter on our webpage www.nemesea.com.
Or you can follow us on Myspace (http://www.myspace.com/nemeseaband) or Twitter (http://twitter.com/Nemesea) or Hyves or Lastfm or..... really, there is no excuse! ;-)

And....
You can still see us live (in surround) next month on the 2nd and/or 3rd of July.
Would be fun if we could meet some of our believers and party after the gig ;-)
And you can meet our new bandmember as well!
Hope to see you all there or on other gigs/events.

Hello Pim,

How do you do? I came upon your profile by accident while reading Sophie Head's information. I must say that I am honoured to have the opportunity to say hello to one of the founders of Sellaband, You are very modest in your comments about yourself. Congratulations on a brilliant idea. I think you have done a fantastic job with this Sellaband brainchild.

I live in Western Canada, not far from Vancouver, B.C. Sellaband is still in it's infancy in Canada, especially in western Canada, but I would like to see that change, or at least help make it change as much as I can. I have been telling musicians I know about this and trying to get new believers involved too. It's a slow process at the moment but I am aware that the word is starting to get around. One decision I have already made is not to give up. Any advice you can send my way will be gladly taken.

I've been a Sellaband member/believer since early last year but just launched my artist profile four months ago. At the risk of boring you, I invite you to listen to my music. Here is a bit of information about it. I recorded these songs in my living room, using Sony Acid Music and my stage mics. Not the best equipment but I will use a small local studio for my future demos.

"Without You" is a complex, romantic, mysterious sounding song, building gradually, with a fancy instrumental bridge in the middle. Musically, some people tell me it reminds them of Chris Rea's blues sound and vocally, a bit like Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits.

"Dance The Night Away" is an upbeat song, which counters the moodiness of "Without You". Two different versions of this song are temporarily featured to give listeners the opportunity to follow it's progress as I update it. If you prefer one version over another, please let me know because that version (mainly a drumming difference) is what I will keep.

I have numerous songs ready to be recorded and I'm eager to get a (different) third song posted because I realize having variety is important. The third song should be up soon. I hope you like the music I currently have featured and thanks for listening. Once again; thanks for Sellaband!

Bedankt

Hey, I'm Sam. I feel like I have something new to offer to the industry. As far as combining genres I am a Pop-Rap artist and producer. I came up with this concept after I self-taught myself how to produce my own music. I always had a different style of rapping that no-one took seriously because my music is supposed to make you have fun, and understand more about me. Basically I got a year formal song-writing education and now I'm writing great music for you to listen to and support. I will update my blog daily so look out for that, as well as any new videos I might add. Just letting you know your full support is much needed and when it is given it will be much appreciated.
Farewell, By the way check out my new single We in the Club.
