My name is N'Kenge and I am graduate of the Juilliard School. I am a singer, songwriter, actress, dancer and sing in 10 languages. I am hoping to be in the studio this summer recordng my SAB Album which will be a fushion of Beyonce and Celine Dion style tracks.

I am finally back from Romania and found out that Stefan Steiner who was the winner of my raffle a few months ago, decided to have me gfive the gift parts he won to myself. How cool is that! So time to invest in myself today and move closer to that 50K mark...yahooo

I had the most wonderful pleasure to meet a dear believer of mine John McCann and what a sweetheart both he and his wife Marylou are. They traveled two hours to see my show with the Indianapolis Symphony and it was a true honor to have them there to meet live in the flesh!
Believers, please if you can, come out and see one of my shows. I can always provide free tickets for you and guests and there's nothing like wathcing live music concerts!!!!

Just got back from doing my first show after my eye surgery with the Ft. Worth Symphony and it was amazing. It was sold out and sang to 3,500 people...way cool. Really looking forward to the rio grande. Just booked my ticket using miles...thank god for that and collaborating with the great Lucia Iman. Can't wait to see everyone there

Just back from Niagra Falls views where I sang two shows a day at the Avalon Theater to sold out audiences. It was pretty amazing to say the least. Glad to be home even though its cold at home too.....grrrrr

I just returned from singing at this amazing event in NYC that makes such wonderful efforts in Fighting Aids and supporting researches worldwide.
I sang several songs accompanied by Paul Schaffer (pianist that plays on the David Letterman Talk Show) and Comedian Joy from the TV Show The View did some hosting along with Lucy Arnes singing among others.
Wish you guys and dolls could have been there...its was so magical

Grettings to all my SAB family. I will be a bit silent for the next two weeks because I am in Romania and the access to internet is very seldom. I was so happy to be one of the winners of sommersby competition. it brought a lot of attention to my site and I was able to share my music with more people.
The next two weeks is going to be a little silent from me because I am right now performing in Phoenix and San francisco and then on Sunday I leave to to Romania to visit for two weeks. It will be the first time I meet my husband's family and he has not seen them in 5 years. we are surprising his mom for her birthday and I just know its going to be such a special moment for him and everyone else including me so wish us luck in our surprise. I'll be back home on Oct 23rd but I will try my best to get internet access when I can.

Wew.....the musical is done....wow. What a great run. We've got picked up by another theater so thats exciting. I met some great people and all and all its been a wonderful experience. Thanks to everyone who has shown their support. Now some more work to do....

Two amazing things happend today...I am N0.6 on the TOP 20 CHARTS for my first week of being on sellaband AND I was featured in the current Tribune
I also realized that there was a glitch in my MP3 and no one has been able to listen to Everything to Me. It is now fixed....so enjoy. I wrote it for the Soldiers in Iraq and it is very special to me. It also features grammy nominated violinist Philippe Quint

You are so incredibly professional that it is almost a crime. What is amazing is how you are able to project yourself so delightfully onstage, grab your audience, keep a level head, AND look like a goddess while doing it. You are an amazing performer and your caliber of professionalism/tale nt far exceeds that of most performing artists.

N’Kenge is much more than a singer. Believing in N’Kenge is not only a part in an accomplished vocal artist, it also provides a share in one of the most passionate and exceptional talents on Sellaband. The music she creates is genre-defying. Taking notes from the rock genre, she creates the driving tones of ‘Rock The House’, and with a keen eye for the modern R&B scene, she creates the effortlessly catchy ‘Goosebump Moment’. Aswell as her original compositions, N’Kenge puts her powerful mark upon such classics as ‘Defying Gravity’ and ‘I Will Survive’. The latter featuring an entirely new symphonic vibe, courtesy of the stunning orchestras she has worked with. Knowing her surroundings is another positive aspect to N’Kenge. She realises that every part of Sellaband is a potential believer haven- repeatedly posting through the forums, putting her voice over the radio waves, and contacting new believers and artists, promoting them, and advertising herself constantly. As a person, she is sweet and kind, addressing new members of the community and presenting an easy-going invite to check her out and potentially believe. Even within her first moments on the site, N’Kenge captured the hearts of so many, gaining her first K in record time, and surely gaining more and more. As well as being invited to the Rio Grande festival, performing alongside 50K artist- Mysti Mayhem. Furthermore, she has garnered the belief of some of Sellabands most prominent believers- Sommersby, Dave The Esthameian and Talentcast’s Johan. Surely, a nice selection of recommendations from the aforementioned fellows, will only boost her shining reputation on Sellaband. Nothing, it seems, can hold her back. Everything N’Kenge encounters makes her stronger, especially during quieter times. Instead of withdrawing and losing passion, she simply waits it out, and ensues new competitions and games to promote herself in the most innovative ways possible. Grabbing at every available opportunity to broaden her horizons, she travels countries, and states often, to pursue her love of performing. Sometimes alone, sometimes with a grand orchestra. Another key aspect to N’Kenge’s success is her ability to master the attention of every member of a vast audience within enormous venues, but channel that same energy and enthusiasm into the smaller shows, when she plays to fewer people. Its this passion that shows what Sellaband is really about. An artist who can easily please the few, then please the thousands. I had the wonderful opportunity to hear N'Kenge sing live. I must tell you this lady is headed for success. As I told her I thought her voice sounded beautiful on disk but live I can't put it into words. Extremely radiating... I don't know. I guess the best way to put it is beautiful. She is an extremely kind person I hope to hear her concerts again in the future. |

I had the honor to see N'Kenge perform live last night in Detroit. It was a great show and she is a wonderful singer and all around performer. After the show we got to hang out and talk with her until 2am. She is incredibly nice, and the pictures in her profile do not adequately capture how pretty she is in person. She even has all her teeth which are very white! |
