1. Can you tell me something about the members of the group? How old are you, did you attend some music school? Do you know one another for a long time?

(Johan Faber)

Radius is a band with 3 members, our age is between 25 & 38 and we all have a lot of years experience in making music.
We all had some music education, one more than the other and we all have played in many bands through the years.
There is a strong chemical between us, and together we feel very strong.
Especially on stage, that's the thing we love most of all and the best way to get into our songs and to go beyond making music……and to become the music. Then it's like we are not on this planet anymore ;-) I call it magic……
About the members:
I know Danny (bass) from my former band Awake (1998) and I met Henko on the internet by searching for a drummer in 2004. 
Radius was formed in 2001 by me, I wrote some songs and recorded them with drum computer and bass synths.
People react very positive and told me I had to bring this thing to life so I asked Danny to help me, he knew a drummer and Radius was a fact. After some different drummers Henko came by and he's the perfect drummer for this band.

2. What musical instruments does each of you play?

Johan Faber - Vocals/Guitars and some synths

3. How did you start to play music?

(Johan Faber)

My first instrument was the drums, I guess I was 14 or 15 years old.
My best friend inspired me, we went to school together and played the drums when we came back home after school.
There were only some problems with neighbors and I realized that it was not my kind of instrument so I tried to play guitar.
After a few years practicing and some lessons I decided to play in a local metal band…really ;-)
That was amazing and we had fun and fantastic gigs through the years but we were young……and other musical interests came on our way.
I decided to want to do more with my voice and songwriting, I was always busy with recording all instruments with the help of midi and software in my home studio.
I guess I was searching for a sound that stands close to me…..and now I found ;-)

4. What are your music inspirations?

(Johan Faber)

Muse, Radiohead, Editors, Snow Patrol, Faithless, The Cure.
Music that can make me smile and make me cry,  I like to listen to emotional music.
For me music is the door to my soul and I like to express my feelings and all I've been trough in my music.

5. Why did you decide to promote your music in Sellaband? Are you optimistic about gaining 100% of money for your record? When do you think you will achieve it?

(Johan Faber)

Sellaband is a fantastic way to let the world know who we are, a good way to distribute our music and to find people who "believe" in us and want to support us to make our dream come true.
It is a good way to work together with people who are inside the music market and to make the step to be a full professional band. I think it can open some doors for us.
I believe in this fantastic concept and it is very interesting for fans, they can make money and are a piece of Radius. To be in business together makes this concept strong!
I really hope we will achieve it this year, and I think we can.

6. Are you already popular in your country?

(Johan Faber)

We are already popular in a region of Holland, and a lot of our "believers" on Sellaband are from Holland.
Right now we are the number 1 artist from Holland on Sellaband with already 26.000$ in budget so I can say we are the most popular Dutch band on Sellaband.
We are on the right track but I think we sound international  so it would be great to cross the border for some gigs.
Poland would be great, we never have been there but we already have some great support from Poland on Sellaband so it would be fantastic to give you people a taste of Radius live.
For me it is important to play were our fans are, and I would like to shake their hands after the show….if possible ;-)
They are so important for a band.
